Breadcrumb compact plant process
The Serton Bakery Solutions team have created this simple slide show to illustrate the workings of our Breadcrumbs Compact Plant - in this case for treating bakery return bread.

Bread from whole loaves to small rolls pass through the Serton Pre-Cutter Feeder, which dosifies and standardises input feed. |

The MTV Shredder Mixer Mill reduces the input material to the correct size for the next, drying stage of the process.

The shredded bread enters one end of the Serton RDP Double Pass Dryer - designed for maximum output in minimum space – and is output at the same end.

The shredded bread, now dried to the correct humidity, travels by pneumatic transport line to the MTM Crumber Mill, which mills it to the required breadcrumb particle size.

The crumbs pass through the Mini Plansifter where any over fine “flour” (>6%) and foreign objects are filtered out. This fine “flour” by product is a very effective non-sticky flour substitute for “lubricating” the bread production line.

The crumbs pass to silo. They are now pure enough to be packaged by plastic heat seal bags.

The whole process is fully controlled by the Serton Digi-Temp Twin Controller. |
