This rotary rubber lined machine can be employed for various mechanical – thermal processes. It has been used successfully for the manufacture of small lightweight balls or pellets that are then used in the manufacturing of lightweight building bricks (breezeblocks). The ingredients, some of which are by products of a coal fired power station in Andorra) are fed into the drum, and are then heated by steam. The gentle rotary action of the rubber lined drum and the steam act as a catalyst for the materials to fuse and create lightweight pellets of material that are now ready for further manufacture into building materials.
